DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
We have been given a plunger and a geologist to make a film. That led to some fun brainstorming session full of bathroom jokes, until Charles mentioned and an idea of an unusual party and an unfortunate setbacks which felt like curses that befallen him at one point in his life. Suddenly we had a fun and a bit more elevated story to play with. When creating the story I had to take into account what we have in our disposal and the time limitation, but by the time I finished putting the story on paper, I had the vision of the shots and the visual representation of the story in my head. Creating a shot-list took me almost no time and by the time the crew came back in the morning with the props, and after a good night sleep, we were ready to shoot. So far this was the best experience I ever had on a film set. It was a thrill to work with people who had my back and went along with my creative ideas.
